Q.The Company Name - The Stripy Paint Company - What's that about?

 

A:In many workplaces a new employee would be sent off to look for things that couldn’t be found as a practical joke. The new employee would often then been sent from place to place in search of the item until someone took pity on them and explained that the item didn’t exist. In the building industry common items to be sent to look for are – sky hooks, glass hammers, buckets of steam, skirting board ladders, Stripy Paint etc. At The Stripy Paint Company we do a lot of searching..

 

Q. Do you have a salvage yard?

 

A: We do not have a yard open to the public as we source directly for the end customer and therefore we do not tend to carry much stock. Our approach is different - we will come to you to establish what you need and then we will deliver the end product to you. Alternatively we can establish your needs via email or phone etc. and send samples to you for approval.

 

Q. Can I collect from you?

 

A: Yes we are based in Co Leitrim and this can be arranged or we can arrange collection from other locations.

 

Q: Is your personal service more expensive?

 

A: No. We have established relationships with a large network of suppliers and we also have an established transport network and this allows us to offer extremely completive prices. Our experience means that have a deep understanding of reclaimed materials and best conservation practices and we can overcome the challenges of sourcing reclaimed materials etc. We source items on an as needed basis and this again keeps our costs low. We will also save you a lot of time and effort that is usually required to source appropriate materials and items.

 

Q: What can you supply?

 

A: Our aim is to supply everything that you would need for a renovation of an old building and also interesting item of architectural salvage and much more besides. We have a large network of suppliers that we have established through our constant searching.  If you are looking for something give us a call or drop us an email and we will let you know very quickly if it is something we can supply. If we cant supply it we will try and point you in the right direction.

 

Q: What area do you cover?

 

A: We are based in Ireland and we source and supply mainly into Ireland and the UK. We are happy to ship and source worldwide depending our your requirements so just give us a call or drop us an email and we will do our best look after you no mater where you are based. 

 

Q: Do you purchase architectural salvage?

 

A:  Yes, we are always looking for interesting and not so interesting items and we are always keen to meet avid collectors. If what you have is not suitable for us we will try put you in touch with the appropriate people.  If you have items that you would like to sell we can also call to you photograph your items and add them to our  extensive catalogue and we would then contact you when we need the item or when we have found the best customer for the items.

 

Q: What can you reproduce or repair?

 

A: We have a network of skilled partners who we work with on our reproductions and repairs and we can therefore take on a huge variety of work as we are not limited to in-house capabilities. If you have an item that  you need reproduced or repaired just give us a call or email and we will let you know very quickly it we can reproduce or repair the item.  We love a challenge!  .
